The Accounting Application in Rewaa is a comprehensive system designed to record all financial transactions related to your business. It features a user-friendly interface suitable for both accountants and non-accountants, ensuring accurate daily sales and purchase records. The system provides tools for precise tax calculations and filing tax returns while integrating seamlessly with other modules like cashier, purchases, and suppliers. Additionally, it offers various financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets. Below are the steps for installing and setting up the Accounting Application.

Steps to Install the Accounting Application

  • Install the Application:

    • Navigate to: Apps > Available Apps > Accounting > Click: Install.

  • The application will be installed instantly.

ℹ️ Installing the accounting app will also automatically install the Expenses App.

  • Begin the Setup Process:

    • A setup page will appear after installation. Click: Let's Start.

Setting Up the Application

  • Link Payment Methods to Bank Accounts:

    • All previously added payment methods will be displayed. Assign each method to a corresponding bank account.

ℹ️ You can add new payment methods and link them to the chart of accounts. For more details on adding payment methods, click here.

  • To Add a New Bank Account:

    • Click: Add Bank Account.

    • Enter the account name and number in the respective fields.

    • Click: Add.

  • Complete Setup:

    • After linking accounts, click Complete Setup.

  • Chart of Accounts:

    • View your chart of accounts, which organizes all financial transactions.

    • Click: View Chart of Accounts.

  • You can now add opening balances. For more details, click here.

Granting User Access Permissions

Rewaa allows you to control user access to the accounting system, including viewing the chart of accounts, adding daily entries, and managing opening balances.

  • To Assign Permissions:

    • Go to: Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Edit User.

  • Under User Permissions, ensure "Custom" is activated.

  • Navigate to Apps > Accounting to manage detailed permissions.

  • Available Permissions:

    • Chart of Accounts: View the chart of accounts.

    • Account Details: View account details.

    • Journal Entry: Add, edit, delete journal entries.

    • Opening Balance: Add opening balances.

    • Customer: View statements and balances.

    • Supplier: View statements and balances.

  • Save Changes:

    • Click: Save Custom User.

1. Are there fees for installing the Accounting App?
Fees depend on your primary subscription package with Rewaa. For more details, click here.

2. Why can’t I manually adjust product quantities in the inventory?
The Accounting App helps manage product entries and exits while recording all transactions as journal entries. Manual inventory adjustments are not allowed. You can update quantities using the following methods:

  • Purchase Invoices to add stock upon purchase.

  • Stocktaking to adjust quantities in case of corrections.

  • Stock Transfers if you manage multiple branches on the Rewaa platform.

3. Can I add payment methods or bank accounts after installing the Accounting App?
Yes, additional payment methods or bank accounts can be added later and will immediately reflect in the accounting chart. For more details, click here.

4. Can I uninstall the Accounting App after installation?
Yes, to uninstall:

  • Go to: Apps > Available Apps > Accounting > Click: Uninstall.

  • Select a reason for uninstalling, then confirm by clicking: Uninstall.

ℹ️ Uninstalling the Accounting App will:

  • Stop daily journal entries from reflecting in the chart of accounts.

  • Remove the Expenses App (installed automatically with Accounting).

  • Disable cost center management.

  • Hide financial reports and account statements.

5. Why can’t I see financial reports after enabling full access?
Ensure you have activated the "Reports" list under Reports > Report List. Save user settings to display financial reports.
