Rewaa platform allows you to control user permissions for modifying product prices or applying discounts in the sales screen. This feature helps maintain control over pricing policies and ensures discounts are applied correctly. You can set a specific maximum discount percentage or disable the feature entirely to prevent unauthorized price changes or discounts.

Accessing Price Adjustment/Discount Permission

  • Navigate to User Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Users.

    • Click the icon (⚙️) and select Edit User.

  • Enable Custom Permissions:

    • Ensure the Custom option is selected under user permissions.

  • Expand the Applications Section:

    • Locate the Rewaa New POS application and expand its permission list.

  1. Adjust the Permission:

    • Look for the Edit Price / Discount permission.

    • Perform one of the following actions:

a. Disable Price/Discount Adjustments Completely

  • Toggle off the permission. The user will no longer be able to change product prices or apply discounts.

b. Set a Maximum Discount Percentage

  • Enter the maximum allowable discount percentage.

  • Example: If the limit is set to 20%, the user cannot apply a discount greater than 20%. If they attempt to do so, an alert will display:
    "You do not have enough permissions to perform this discount"

  • Save Changes:

    • Click Save Custom User to apply the changes.

  1. Will the user receive a notification if they exceed the allowed discount percentage?
    Yes, an alert will appear on the sales screen if the user enters a discount higher than the permitted percentage.

  2. Can I apply this permission to specific products only?
    No, this permission applies to all products. It cannot be restricted to specific items.

  3. Can the permission for price adjustments or discounts be enabled temporarily?

  4. Why is the discount option not visible on my user account?
    If the discount option is unavailable, the permission has not been granted. Contact the main account holder to review your permissions.
