What counts as a “sales channel”?

Any source you sell from and want included in demand + inventory planning: e-commerce stores (e.g., Shopify), marketplaces, point-of-sale systems, and other connected source systems (ERP, WMS feeds that carry orders).

Where to connect channels

In the Network page:

  1. Click + Add Channel for each store/marketplace/POS.

  2. Select the integration type and authenticate (method varies by connector).

  3. On the right, choose which data to sync (orders, products, on-hand stock).

You can add additional channels later from the same Channels area in the app.

What data we sync from a channel

  • Orders / sales history (drives demand forecasts).

  • Products / SKUs (catalog details).

  • On-hand inventory (where available).

Channel data feeds into forecasts, health labels, reorder timing, and PO planning.

Disable or ignore a channel’s stock

If you don’t want a channel counting toward stockouts (e.g., a test store), you can disable its linked location during the Locations onboarding step (Enabled toggle) or later in settings.

Multi-channel consistency

Rewize reconciles product demand so individual channel forecasts roll up to a consistent total—useful when planning central inventory that serves many storefronts.

Troubleshooting channel data

  • Not seeing expected SKUs? Confirm the channel is connected and enabled.

  • Sales missing? Check the sync is complete (see Why does the sync process take so long?).

  • Comparing channel vs total demand? Ensure the correct channel filters are active in Products or the forecast view.
