Need materials to promote a successful fundraiser? Here are some links and downloadable resources to get you started.

Updated over a year ago

Developing a strong communication plan increases participation rates and profit potential for your fundraiser. To point you in the right direction, we've outlined some tips as well as included some materials that you can use or reference to promote a successful fundraiser on Read for My School.

TIP: If you haven't promoted a digital fundraiser in the past, we recommend launching your marketing and communication one (1) week before you are going to start. This provides your families with enough time to register and build out their personal bookshelves to start reading and raising money for your school.

Once you start your marketing efforts, use your parent letter and social banners to market your fundraiser to families on your Facebook or school website. You can view your parent letter by clicking the INVITE STUDENTS button. You can print it out or copy/paste it into any doc (Word; PDF; Email) that you use to reach out to families.

Once you start, we recommend reaching out to your families weekly or bi-weekly to communicate progress and status against the goals you set so everyone is actively involved in supporting your fundraiser. To send weekly updates, click on the SEND ANNOUNCEMENT in your main menu.
