⚡ What is a Lightning Address?
A Lightning Address is a simple, human-readable identifier that lets you send and receive Bitcoin instantly over the Lightning Network. Think of it like an email address, but for Bitcoin payments.
Instead of dealing with long, complex Lightning invoices (which are single-use and expire) or scanning QR codes every time, your Lightning Address makes receiving payments as easy as sharing your email. It's in the familiar format: yourname@rhinobitcoin.com.
At Rhino, every user gets access to this feature to make everyday Bitcoin transactions faster, cheaper, and more convenient.
📥 Find and Share Your Lightning Address
Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner to open your settings
Select Lightning Address
Copy your address and share it with the person paying you
✏️ Update Your Lightning Address
Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner to open your settings
Select Lightning Address
Enter a new name (must be at least 6 characters long)
Save your changes
Your new Lightning Address will be yourname@rhinobitcoin.com, using the name you entered.
💸 Send to a Lightning Address
You can pay someone else's Lightning Address from your Lightning Wallet:
Go to the Explore tab and tap Lightning Wallet
Select Pay Invoice
Enter the Lightning Address you'd like to send to
Enter the amount
Tap Send
