What is Rhumbix CICO?
Rhumbix Clock-In/Clock-Out (CICO) is a mobile-based timekeeping feature designed to streamline how field crews track their time on the job. Built directly into the Rhumbix Mobile App, CICO allows workers and crews to clock in at the start of their day, record meals and breaks, and clock out at the end of their shift—all from their smartphones or tablet.
CICO offers a real-time, digital alternative to paper timesheets and manual time entry, reducing administrative overhead and improving the accuracy of timecards. It ensures that crews are able to easily document their hours while giving office teams access to up-to-date labor data.
Two Flexible Options
Rhumbix CICO supports two modes, giving teams flexibility based on how they work in the field:
Single User CICO: Best for workers who use their own mobile devices. Each user logs in to the Rhumbix App and records their time independently.
Kiosk CICO: Ideal for shared devices on the jobsite. Multiple workers can clock in and out using a common device, like a tablet or smartphone, set up in kiosk mode.
Both options are fully integrated into the Rhumbix platform and provide accurate, real-time labor data to support project reporting and payroll.
Key Benefits
Mobile-Friendly: Designed for ease of use in the field with a simple, intuitive interface.
Accurate Time Capture: Automatically tracks accrued time based on when workers clock in and out.
Visibility: Supervisors and office teams can review time entries in real time, helping to identify trends and ensure compliance.
Integrated Workflow: CICO integrates seamlessly with Rhumbix's existing timekeeping and labor management tools, eliminating the need for duplicate entry.
Supports Labor Compliance: Accurate tracking of work hours, meals, and breaks helps clients meet state labor compliance requirements and maintain auditable records.
How It Works
Employees open the Rhumbix Mobile App and use the CICO tab to begin their shift. From there, they can record breaks and meals, view their timecard history, and make edits if necessary. At the end of the day, they clock out and verify their time. If needed, users can also add comments or corrections to reflect actual time worked.
For teams using Kiosk CICO, a shared device is set up on the jobsite in kiosk mode. Workers tap their name from a list, verify their identity (such as with a PIN), and clock in or out directly from the shared device. The kiosk flow supports break and meal tracking as well, and is ideal for crews who don’t use individual mobile devices.
CICO entries appear automatically in Rhumbix's timekeeping tools, where they can be reviewed, approved, and exported as part of the company's labor reporting process.
CICO as Part of a Flexible Timekeeping Strategy
CICO is an additional tool available to Rhumbix clients and can be used on its own or alongside other timekeeping methods. Many companies choose to combine CICO Kiosk, Single User CICO, and Foreman-entered crew timecards to meet the diverse needs of their field operations.
Rhumbix offers flexible and customizable timekeeping options that can be tailored to match each client’s specific workflows and compliance requirements.
Who Uses It
Rhumbix CICO is used by construction crews, field teams, and laborers across a wide range of projects and industries. It's ideal for any organization looking to modernize their timekeeping process, reduce errors, and gain better insight into labor productivity.
