If you’re in Spain: You can ride with a passenger under 12 years old as long as they wear an approved helmet and protective gloves. Exceptionally, you may carry a passenger under 7 years old if you are their parent, guardian or a person of legal age authorised by them. The minor must wear an approved helmet and protective gloves and be seated in a seat equipped with a suitable child restraint system and footrests.

If you’re in France: You can’t carry a passenger who is less than 18 years old.
