All Vulnerabilities included in Facility Unit Comparison can be accessed through the drop-down list at the top right corner of the module.Depending on the number of processing units included in the study, colored or gray dots will appear to the left of the Vulnerability indicating which facility’s processing unit identified that Vulnerability.

Colored dot  =       The vulnerability was included in that facility's data

Grey dot       =        The vulnerability was not included in that facility's data

The colored dots correspond to the legend below the drop-down list and always appear in the same order.

Facility Unit Comparison modules can present Operating Modes and Protection Layers when the visualization is fully expanded.

There are two methods for expanding and collapsing the visualization nodes: Individually within the visualization and Expand/Collapse All.

From the visualization, click the expand icon or collapse icon to the left of the “Mode of Failure” node to view the Operating Mode detail.

From the visualization, click the expand icon or collapse icon to the left of the “Operating Mode” node to view the Protection Layer detail.

When expanding from an Operating Mode onto Protection Layers, the Facility Unit icons are changed from circles to squares. The visualization can be expanded for individual Mode of Failure nodes or the entire visualization (see previous section on Expanding and Collapsing).

NOTE: Protection Layers includes existing safeguards and also recommendations. Recommendations are identified with a hashed square (see Legend)

Details Panel

Further details can be accessed by clicking on a Mode of Failure or Operating Mode or Protection Layer node in the visualization. Information related to one or more Facility Units will be displayed in the scrolling table.  The details panel can be closed by clicking the “x” in the top right corner of the panel to return to the full screen visualization.
