Even if you're not on a major software platform, it's still easy to add Rootabl's tracking code.

If you find yourself clicking the "Other" radio button when integrating your platforms, you’re in the right place!

Follow these steps to add your tracking code and ensure all referrals are properly tracked.

Step 1: Copy Your Tracking Code

When you select "Other" as your platform, Rootabl will generate a unique tracking embed code for you.

📌 Copy this code—you’ll need it in the next step!

Step 2: Place the Code on Your Sales & Checkout Pages

Since Rootabl doesn’t automatically integrate with your platform, you'll need to manually add the tracking code to every page where you want to track referrals.

Add the tracking code to:

  • Your main sales page (to track visits and clicks)

  • Your checkout page (to track conversions)

  • Your thank-you page (to ensure final purchase attribution)

💡 Pro Tip: If you have multiple checkout pages, add the tracking code to each one to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.

Step 3: Don't Forget Pop-Ups & Opt-In Forms!

🚨 Common Issue: iFrames & Pop-Ups

If your opt-in or checkout form appears as a pop-up, it may be embedded using an iFrame.

🛑 This is important! iFrames function like mini-websites within your site, and Rootabl can’t track referrals inside an iFrame unless the tracking code is added separately.

Solution:

  • If you’re using a pop-up form, place the tracking code inside the form’s settings (check with your platform on how to edit iFrame content).

  • If your form builder doesn’t allow adding scripts inside an iFrame, you may need to use a direct embed form instead of a pop-up.

Step 4: Test Your Tracking

Before you go live, test your setup to ensure everything is tracking correctly.

  • Visit your sales page using an affiliate link and check if Rootabl is recording the visit.

  • Complete a test purchase to confirm the sale is attributed to the correct affiliate.

If tracking isn’t working, double-check that the script is placed on all necessary pages!
