I paid for annual subscription. Why does the app say I have the free version?

First off, we know this can be frustrating. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will make sure you're well taken care of.


If you have paid for a Roots subscription but your account is still showing "Roots Free", it likely means the subscription status with Apple got out of sync. Luckily it's an easy fix!

Here are the steps to re-sync the premium access:

  1. Tap on "Settings" from the "Profile" tab

  2. Tap on "Roots Subscription"

  3. Go to the bottom of the paywall and tap "View all plans"

  4. Tap "Restore purchases" at the bottom
