Why am I not receiving notifications about app blocking?

Notifications you should receive

You should receive the following push notifications related to your app blocking:

  • App limits:

    • When you are 5 minutes from reaching your limit

    • When you reach your limit

  • App Downtime:

    • When your downtime starts

    • When your downtime ends

  • On-Demand Blocking:

    • When your downtime ends

Troubleshoot notifications

If you are not receiving notifications, please check the following:

  1. Do you have Push Notifications enabled for Roots on your phone?

    1. Go to iOS Settings > Notifications

    2. Find Roots

    3. Be sure permissions are turned on

  2. Do you have Notifications enabled for your Roots account

    1. Go to Roots > Profile > Settings > Notifications

    2. Toggle on notifications for app limits and downtimes
