Here are a few things to try:
1) Check your "Always Allowed" lists
In Roots: go to "Today (bottom tab) > Account settings (top left) > Always Allowed Apps (under Blocking)." And make sure the apps you want blocked aren't listed there.
In iOS: go to "Settings > Screen Time > Always Allowed" and check the same.
2) Remove any blocking you have set up outside of Roots
If you have any blocking active in iOS "Screen Time" or other screen time apps, it can cause issues and make the Roots blocks to not work properly
Remove any existing blocking you have outside of the Roots app
Remove screen time permissions from other screen time apps
Then go to "Roots > Blocking (bottom tab) > Tap Help (top right) > Tap Reload blocking."
3) Try reloading
Go to "Roots > Blocking (bottom tab) > Tap Help (top right) > Tap Reload blocking." You can also tap "Reload blocks" below your blocks on the "Blocking" tab.
