We're here to help.
"App Groups" allow you to save selected apps and websites and re-use them for different types of "Blocking", such as, "On-demand Blocking", "Time Limits", "Time of Day", "All Day (Limited Unblocks)", and also with "Challenges".
This keeps you from having to re-select the apps for each type of blocking you set up.
How do I use "App Groups"?
Let’s say you want to manage your social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Without "App Groups", you’d have to:
Add them one by one every time you create a "Block"
Manually choose them again when joining "Challenges"
Wouldn’t it be much easier to group these apps into one category called “Social Media”? That way, whenever you create a new "Block", such as, "Time Limit", "Time of Day", "All Day (Limited Unblocks)", or participate in "Challenges", you can simply select the "App Group" instead of repeating the selection process for each app.
To start using "App Groups":
Go to "Roots > Blocking > Blocking Settings > App Groups".
Create "New App Groups" like “Social Media”, “Work Apps”, or “News & Entertainment”.
The next time you add a new "Block" ("Time Limit", "Time of Day", "All Day (Limited Unblocks)", or join "Challenges") go to "What to Block" > Tap on App Groups (see image below) > Select the App Groups you want to "Block".
