Unfortunately, due to Apple’s privacy policies, historical "ScreenTime" data from your old iPhone doesn’t carry over to Roots when switching devices. Roots relies on "Apple’s Screen Time" APIs, which only provide usage data from the point "Screen Time" is enabled on the new device.

Apple doesn’t include "Screen Time" history in iCloud or device backups, so even though your other data may transfer, usage stats don’t come along with it.

We know that’s not ideal—especially if you were tracking progress—and we really appreciate you checking in. If you’re starting fresh on the new device, Roots will begin logging your data from here onward.
