We're here to help.
First off, we know this can be frustrating and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
If you're trying to uninstall apps but you are not able to - even for apps without any screen time limits - the issue might be caused by Roots' "App Uninstall Protection" feature.
This feature is designed to prevent apps from being removed without your knowledge, but it can also block you from uninstalling apps when you need to.
Here's how to fix it:
If you have an active "Monk Mode" block running, you won't be able to turn off "App Uninstall Protection" until the session ends. Here are your options:
1) Wait for "Monk Mode" to end
The blocking (including the restriction on deleting apps) will automatically lift once your scheduled "Monk Mode" session ends. You'll then be able to delete apps normally.
2) Use a "Pause"
Go to "Roots > Blocking > Pause" (top of the screen)
This will temporarily pause all your blocking so you can delete apps
Delete the apps you need to remove
Tap "Resume Blocking" when you're done
3) Turn off "App Uninstall Protection" for future sessions
If you want to be able to delete apps during "Monk Mode" going forward:
Go to "Roots > Blocking > Settings" (top of the screen)
Scroll to "Make Roots Bulletproof"
Toggle OFF "Uninstall Protection"
This will allow you to delete apps even during "Monk Mode," though it does make the blocking less strict.
