If you're seeing an "Open Settings" notification prompt (see image below) every time you open Roots asking you to enable notifications, here's how to stop it from appearing.
This prompt is coming from iOS itself rather than Roots.
Solution: Enable iOS notifications, then disable within Roots
To stop the recurring popup while keeping notifications off, follow these two steps:
Step 1: Enable notifications in iPhone Settings
Go to "Settings > Notifications > Roots"
Turn on "Allow Notifications"
Step 2: Turn off notifications within Roots
Open Roots
Go to "Today" (bottom tab)
Tap "Account settings" (top left)
Go to "Personalization > Notifications"
Toggle off all "Notifications"
This way, iOS won't keep asking you about notifications, but you also won't receive any actual notifications from Roots.
