How to stop the iOS notification prompt from appearing every time I open Roots

Updated over 3 weeks ago

We're here to help.

If you're seeing an "Open Settings" notification prompt (see screenshot below) every time you open Roots asking you to enable notifications, here's how to stop it from appearing.

This prompt is coming from iOS itself rather than Roots.

Solution: Enable iOS notifications, then disable within Roots

To stop the recurring popup while keeping notifications off, follow these two steps:

Step 1: Enable notifications in iPhone Settings

  • Go to Settings > Notifications > Roots

  • Turn on "Allow Notifications"

Step 2: Turn off notifications within Roots

  • Open Roots

  • Go to Profile (bottom right)

  • Tap Account Settings (top right)

  • Go to Personalization > Notifications

  • Toggle off all "Notifications"

This way, iOS won't keep asking you about notifications, but you also won't receive any actual notifications from Roots.
