Why am I seeing an "ERROR" on my blocks?

First off, we know this can be frustrating. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

If you're seeing a red "ERROR" badge with a "Resolve" button next to your blocks (as shown in the image below), this means your apps need to be re-selected due to a recent update.


What happened?

We recently made an important update in Roots. This update requires a one-time re-selection of the apps you want to block.


How to fix it:

  1. Tap "Resolve" next to any block showing the error badge

  2. Re-select the apps you want blocked in that block

  3. Save your changes

  4. Repeat for any other blocks showing the error badge


That's it! Once you've re-selected your apps, everything will continue working normally and the error badge will disappear.

Important notes:

  • This is a one-time fix - you won't need to do this again in the future

  • Your block schedules and time limits remain unchanged

  • Only the app selections need to be refreshed

  • The error badge will disappear once you've resolved each block
