If you’re seeing a password prompt when trying to delete Roots, this is an iOS “Screen Time” passcode — it’s set at the iPhone level, not within Roots itself. This can sometimes be enabled without you realising it.
How to reset your “Screen Time” passcode
Here’s how to reset it:
1. Go to iOS Settings > Screen Time
2. Tap “Change Screen Time Passcode”
3. Tap “Forgot Passcode?”
4. Enter your Apple ID and follow the steps to set a new passcode
