We're here to help.
First off, we know this can be frustrating. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
If you go to "iOS Settings → Screen Time" and don't see the "Apps with Screen Time Access" section at all, don't worry—this is a known iOS issue and can usually be fixed by resetting the connection between Roots and Apple's Screen Time.
How to fix this
The most reliable fix is to fully delete and reinstall the Roots app:
Delete Roots from your iPhone completely
Reinstall Roots from the App Store
Open the app and sign back in
When prompted, grant "Screen Time" access
This resets the underlying permissions connection and should bring the "Apps with Screen Time Access" section back, with Roots listed and toggled on.
A heads-up before you do this
You'll need to recreate your blocking from scratch afterward
Your historical screen time data within the app will be lost — this is an Apple limitation, since "Screen Time" data lives locally on your device and can't be backed up or restored
Your account, subscription, and "Streak" will remain intact.
