Why do I still have "Roots Premium"after cancelling and getting a refund?

We're here to help.

If you cancelled your subscription and received a refund, but still see "Roots Premium" active and have access to premium features like "Monk Mode", this is expected — here's why. Don't worry, you won't be charged again — your subscription is cancelled and won't renew.

Why this happens

When you cancel a subscription, it doesn't end immediately. Instead, it remains active until the end of your current billing period, even if you've already received a refund for that charge. Apple's subscription system is designed this way so you don't lose access you've already paid for mid-cycle.

This means your premium access will continue until your specific expiration date, at which point it will automatically move to the free version — no action needed on your end.

Why I don't see it under my Apple subscriptions

Once a subscription is cancelled, Apple stops showing it under Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, since it's no longer set to auto-renew. This is normal, and doesn't affect your remaining access — it just won't appear in that list anymore.
