Customize ChemDraw Molecular Drawing Styles

Specify the bond length and lettering styles used for ChemDraw objects created using Rowan's integrated ChemDraw Tool

  1. Locate a ChemDraw file that reflects your desired molecular drawing styles and save it as a .cdxml file or copy it as CSXML text.

  2. Select Settings > Preferences... from the Tools menu.

  3. Locate the ChemDraw Preferences.
    ​
    ​

  4. Click + Add File to include a .cdxml style source file that reflects your desired styling.

  5. Paste your CDXML text or drag and drop or browse for your desired .cdxml file.

    ​


    ​

  6. Click Set Style Source File to confirm your selection.
    ​
    ​

  7. New molecular drawings created with the Integrated ChemDraw tool will reflect your desired styles.

    ​


    ​Note that ChemDraw objects created in Rowan before your styles source file is uploaded, as well as those imported or copied and pasted from Word or ChemDraw, will retain their existing style attributes and may not reflect the styles in this style source file.

  8. Click the Edit control to change your style source file.
    ​
    ​


    ​

  9. Click the Delete control to remove your style source file.
    ​
