Amend Claims in the Response Writer

Build or Open a USPTO OA response package and go to the Response Writer workspace.
Locate the claim amendments section and click into the text field for a claim you want to amend.
Make your desired amendments by typing, deleting, copying and pasting, etc. to modify your claim text in the field provided.

Your additions will be underlined, your deletions will be bracketed or struck through, and your claim status will be updated as appropriate.

Import Claim Amendments from Word

Build a USPTO OA response package.
Locate or create a Word .docx file with your amendments indicated using Track Changes.
In the Rowan Patents Response Writer workspace, click the Import Claim Amendments option above claim 1.
Click continue to confirm you wish to proceed.
Drag and drop or select your amendments .docx file from your file system.
Click the Next button.
Your amendments will appear in the response writer and claim statuses will be automatically updated.
