Is it possible to duplicate a part number? I want to include multiple instances of the same numbered part in my drawing.

Yes. To create another instance of the same numbered part used in a previous figure, select the part on the subsequent figure and click the "Link to Element…" checkbox in the right side Element Inspector. A dropdown will appear that allows you to choose the part from the previous figure. This will link the two parts and they will share the same part number and part name. You can also select the part, copy it and use the “paste and link” option in the Drawing menu, or the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows) or Command+Shift+B (Mac).

Can I reference a figure part by just its number?

Yes. When you type the number you wish to reference in your specification, a dropdown will appear offering you a number of options for referencing your part using a smart term, and those options now include the part number alone. Selecting this option will add the number text to your spec, and will tag it to your figure part so that any changes made to that part in your figure will be reflected in the specification.

My reviewers prefer to work in MS Word. Can I import their tracked changes and comments into Rowan drafting?

Yes you can.* Go to the File menu and select Merge Content. If review material is detected, you will receive an option to import it.

*This will only work for files that, other than the tracked review content, are substantially the same as the file you're importing into. If changes are made and not tracked outside of the tool, comments and changes to that distinct matter cannot be imported.
