Q: How do I properly inject Wegovy or Mounjaro?

A: These medications are injected subcutaneously (under the skin) in areas like the stomach, thigh, or upper arm. Your healthcare provider will guide you on the correct injection technique.

A: Both medications are administered once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day.


Q: Does it matter what time of day I take my injection?

A: No, you can take your injection at any time of the day. However, it's best to stick to the same day and time each week to maintain consistency.


Q: Where should I inject Wegovy or Mounjaro?

A: The recommended injection sites are:

  • Stomach (abdomen) – at least 5cm away from the belly button

  • Upper thigh

  • Upper arm (if someone else is administering)


Q: Do I need to rotate my injection site each time?
