What's happening
When a job is scheduled on RV Help, we send your customer confirmation and reminder messages about the appointment. If you also run Housecall Pro, HomeGauge, or your own CRM, your customer receives both sets.
Can I turn the RV Help messages off?
Not today. There is currently no per-provider setting that suppresses the appointment messages we send your customer. We know this is the wrong answer for a provider who already has scheduling handled, and it's on the list.
What you can do in the meantime:
Pick one system to be the one that schedules. If you'd rather your own software own the customer relationship, don't put the appointment date into RV Help — accept the lead, work the job, and use RV Help for the invoice and the close. Accepting a lead and scheduling it are separate actions, and only the scheduling step triggers appointment messages.
Or let RV Help own it and switch your own reminders off for that customer. This is usually the less fiddly option if the job came from us in the first place, since the customer already has the RV Help thread.
Tell us it's a problem. Reply to this article or email support@rvhelp.com. Being able to count how many providers are hitting this is what moves it up the queue.
If the reminder shows the wrong time
A few providers have reported scheduling a 9:00 am appointment and having the customer receive a message saying 6:00 am — a clean three-hour shift, which is a time zone being applied twice rather than a random glitch.
If you see this, don't fix it by entering a compensating wrong time. Send support@rvhelp.com the job, the time you entered, and the time the customer was shown, and we'll trace it. Confirming the appointment directly with the customer in the message thread is the safe stopgap.

Why is my customer getting duplicate appointment reminders?
If you use Housecall Pro, HomeGauge, or another scheduling or CRM system, your customer may receive appointment communications from both your software and RV Help.
RV Help sends customer-facing messages related to their service request, including appointment confirmations and reminders. Customers may also receive other communications throughout the job, such as a request to leave a review after their service is complete.
Currently, service providers cannot disable or suppress the customer-facing messages RV Help sends.
What you should do if you use another scheduling system depends on whether you're working a RV Help Lead or Warranty job.
If this is a RV Help Lead
For RV Help Leads, you can choose which system you want to use to schedule the appointment.
If you prefer to manage scheduling and appointment reminders through your own software, you do not have to schedule the appointment through RV Help. You can accept the lead, coordinate and complete the service with the customer, and continue using RV Help to invoice and close out the job.
If you choose to schedule the appointment through both RV Help and your own scheduling software, your customer may receive appointment notifications from both systems.
If this is a Warranty job
Warranty requests are different. Presently, an appointment is required to accept a warranty request from a partner as part of the warranty process.
This means that if you also use your own scheduling software for a Warranty job, your customer may receive appointment reminders from both systems.
Can I turn RV Help's appointment messages off?
No. There is currently no provider-level setting that allows you to disable or suppress the customer-facing appointment messages RV Help sends.
We understand that receiving messages from two systems can be confusing for both you and your customer, particularly if your business already uses its own scheduling software.
If duplicate notifications are creating problems for you or your customers, please contact support@rvhelp.com. Your feedback helps us understand how providers are affected and prioritize future improvements.
What if an RV Help reminder shows the wrong appointment time?
A few providers have reported scheduling an appointment for one time and having the customer receive an RV Help notification showing a time three hours earlier — for example, scheduling an appointment for 9:00 a.m. and the customer seeing 6:00 a.m.
If this happens, do not enter an intentionally incorrect appointment time to compensate for the difference.
Instead, use the instant messaging function in RV Help to send the customer a message confirming the correct appointment time directly.
Please also contact support@rvhelp.com and include (screenshots if possible):
The job or service request
The appointment time you entered
The appointment time shown to the customer
This gives the customer a clear confirmation of the correct appointment time while allowing our team to investigate the discrepancy.
