What capacity should my transport have?
What capacity should my transport have?

It is the client's responsibility to order the correct vehicle for the package(s) they would like delivered.

Capacities to be carried by each transport type:

Bike/ E-Bike

D25 x W40 x H35cm, 12kg

Moped/ Scooter

D30 x W40 x H40cm, 20kg

Car/ Van

D30 x W40 x H40cm x2, 70kg

A general rule of thumb is if it fits in the mandatory equipment bag, it should be good to go! However, if the package is clearly too heavy or bulky for your assigned mode of transport, here is what you should do:

  • Explain to the client that the package(s) is too big or heavy for the transport type that they ordered.

  • Reach out to support and let them know the situation.

  • Respectfully ask them to cancel and rebook the delivery for a more suitable transport type. Or talk to Ryde's support and we will be able to help.

  • If this is not possible for whatever reason, please contact support with proof of the package size and/or weight.
