Step 1: Once you arrive at the site, make yourself known to the hub manager and check-in. Within the Ryde app, you will be able to choose from a list of delivery routes. Make sure you discuss which route to take with the site manager before assigning one to yourself.
If there are no routes available, check what to do next with the site manager.
Step 2: Now you have selected your route, find the package collection point at your site. The manager can help with this.
Step 3: Find and scan the route barcode number on the roll cage π
Press the TAP TO SCAN button to turn on the camera. This feature helps save battery on your device by reducing the time your camera is active. Make sure to turn it off when you are not scanning to help with this.
π‘ Tip: If the barcode doesn't work after 3 attempts don't worry, just tap 'Skip this step' located at the bottom of the screen. You will still receive your route!
Step 4: Once you have scanned the route code, it's time to start packing the vehicle. If you're unfamiliar with how to pack the van properly, make sure you read our 'Vehicle packing guide'.
Step 5: Now you're ready to start packing your vehicle, open the package scanner and scan each package. Once scanned, you will be advised where to pack the parcel in your vehicle and the parcel will be marked as packed. Alternatively, you can manually mark the parcel as packed by tapping the parcel detailsπ
Step 6: Now you're packed and ready to go! It's time to head to the first drop. Tap 'Navigate' to be directed to the drop location and once you're ready to deliver, tap 'Deliver Packages'. If you wish to look at your route on the map, tap 'route' located at the bottom.
Step 7: Once you have tapped 'Deliver Packages' you will need to confirm that you have arrived at the drop-off. If you still need help finding the address, select the navigation option.
Step 8: Here you will be shown the list of packages that need to be delivered at the drop-off.
Locate the packages in your van by matching them to the package code and address shown in the app. Then select the packages you want to action the tap 'Next' π
Next you will have to select a delivery outcome for the packages you have selected π
Some packages require evidence of delivery, such as photo evidence or signature. If so, you will now be asked to collect the evidence of delivery π
βοΈ Please note: You can select different delivery options for each package by selecting each package individually. This helps if not all packages are suitable for one delivery option.
Additionally, not all packages are allowed to be delivered without the customer present. If this is the case you will see the delivery restriction icon in the package details and the app will not allow you to select any unsuitable options as shown below. π
π‘Tip: To modify the delivery outcome for specific packages after completing the delivery, simply choose the drop location you wish to update and click 'Change Outcome'π
Step 9: Once you've finished the delivery flow for each package, you'll finally be shown a confirmation screen displaying the delivery outcome of each package. If everything looks correct, tap 'confirm' and move onto the next drop!
Any packages that you are not able to deliver will need to be returned back to the pickup point at the end of your shift.
π‘ Tip: If you make a mistake when delivering a package, or want to change the delivery outcome - tap the edit button the on package to update the delivery outcome.

Step 10: Finally, once you've finished all of your drops, it's time to head back and return the parcels. Once you've arrived back to the return hub, you will automatically be asked to confirm once you have returned the packages. Once you have returned all the packages, simply tap 'I've Returned The Packages'.
