Checking in or out of a shift is the best way to ensure you are paid correctly for your time. It helps us confirm you have arrived punctually and also what time you left the job.

In this article you will learn about:

Confirming a shift

If you have a shift booked, you will be asked to confirm that you are still attending 16 hours before it starts.

You have a 12-hour window to click the button and let us know.

If you don't click the button in this time, the shift will be cancelled. These rules may differ for some clients. Click here to see alternate rules for Royal Mail.

Checking in

When you have arrived at your shift and are in the correct location you will be able to click the 'Check in' button on the Ryde app.

You may then be presented with a code to give to the on-site manager. This helps ensure you are in the right place at the right time.

Alternatively, you may be presented with a scanner which can be used on a QR code the onsite manager will provide.

Checking out

Checking out is very similar to checking in. Once you have finished your shift, you will be able to press the 'Check out' button in the Ryde app. You may also be automatically checked out at the end of your shift.

You may be asked to present a check out code to the on-site manager for verification.
