I can't log in to the Sage HR app

What to check if you're having issues logging in to the Sage HR mobile app.

If you can’t log in to the Sage HR mobile app, one of these reasons usually applies:

  • The company doesn’t use Sage HR. For example, they use Sage Employee Online Services at www.sagepayrollservices.co.uk

  • You haven’t set up your login from the welcome email

  • You’re using the wrong email address

  • You entered the wrong password

  • Your employer has terminated your profile

  • Your employer has deleted your profile

  • Your employer has disabled your login access

  • You entered the wrong workspace

1 - Are you trying to log in to a company as an ex-employee?

Yes, I'm an ex-employee

If you’ve left the company, your employer has terminated your profile. Employers can choose whether terminated employees keep access.

If you can’t log in and need something like old payslips, contact your former employer. They can provide these another way.

2 - Try to log in to the Sage HR web portal

First, check if the issue is only with the mobile app or with your login overall. To do this, try logging in to the Sage HR web portal instead.

Can you log in to the web portal?

Yes

3 - Check your workspace

If you're prompted to enter a 'Workspace' on the mobile app, entering the wrong domain can cause a login error.

This is the bit before .sage.hr in your company's Sage HR URL.

EXAMPLE: https://smithcafe.sage.hr.

Does the app ask you to enter a workspace?

Yes

Check what your workspace is. If you're unsure, it's easy to find out what your workspace is.

No

If you're not asked for a workspace, move on to the next check.


4 - Check you entered the correct email address

Check that you entered your email address correctly in the mobile app.

If the email is correct and it’s the same address that received the welcome email, move on to the next check.

If you’re unsure which email to use or didn’t receive a welcome email, contact your employer.


5 - Check you entered the correct password

Check you've typed in your password correctly in the mobile app.

If your password has auto-populated, enter your password manually. Your phone could have saved an incorrect password.


Still can't log in?

If you’ve checked everything above and still can’t log in to the Sage HR app, contact your employer.

As an admin with access to system settings, your employer can investigate the issue and contact Sage HR support if needed. Let them know whether you can log in to the Sage HR website, as Sage HR support will ask this.
