After you enter your password, you see this message:
This error indicates that you've entered either the wrong email address or the wrong password.
📎NOTE: If you see this error while creating a Sage account, your password doesn't meet the rules. Try a new one that:
Is at least eight characters long
Uses upper and lower case letters
Includes numbers
Includes special characters
Avoids common or familiar words
Try these checks in order.
Check the email address
Make sure you’re using the right email address. This is the one that got your welcome email or receives Sage HR notifications.
If you’re not sure, ask your employer to check the email address on your account.
Have you signed in before?
Yes
Move on to resetting your password.
No
It's possible you haven't set up your account yet. This happens if you never used your welcome email to create a password. Password resets won’t work until you finish that first step.
If you can’t find the welcome email, ask your employer to send a new one.
If the new email doesn't ask you to create a password, keep going to the next step.
Reset your password
If you’ve signed in before, you may have entered the wrong password.
Select Forgot password?.
Follow the on‑screen steps to get a reset email.
Check your junk or spam folder if the email doesn't arrive.
Also check that your email system allows messages from donotreply@notify.sage.com.
Once you reset your password, try signing in again.
Error persisting?
Clear your browser cache and check again.
If the problem continues, contact your employer. They can help and contact Sage Support if needed.
