Note:
We recommend using version 2.0.1 for better features and easier setup.
Before You Begin
Make sure the POS App and the KOT/BOT Display App are on the same Wi-Fi network.
KOT Groups must be created, and products or categories must be assigned to those groups in the Back Office Web Portal.
Step-by-Step Setup
On the KOT / BOT Display Device:
Download and install the app.
Open the app.
Write down the IP Address and Device Name shown on the screen.
Keep the app open.
Back Office Setup
1. Log in to the Back Office Web Portal.
2. Go to Settings from the main menu.
3. Select Addon Apps and open the KOT / BOT Display tab.
4. Click the "ENABLE" button
On the POS App:
Open the POS App.
Go to Main Menu > Settings > Printers.
Tap ➕ Add New.
Type a name (e.g., Kitchen 1).
Select KOT Display from the Printer Model list.
Tap Search or enter the IP address manually.
Tap Pair Display.
On the KOT / BOT App:
A popup will appear: “Pair to POS”
Tap Pair
Done! Your POS and KOT Display are now connected.
Final Steps on POS App
You will see the KOT groups.
Turn ON the group you want to use.
Tap Save.
How to Create KOT Groups and Assign Products
Follow these steps to create a KOT/BOT Group and link products to it:
Log in to the SalesPlay Back Office Web Portal.
From the main menu, go to “Settings”.
Click on the “Addon Apps” section and open the “KOT / BOT Groups” tab.
Click the “New Group” button.
Enter a name for the group and click Save.
Select the group you just created and click the “Attach” button.
Choose the categories or individual products you want to include by turning them ON.
Click Save to finish.
Done! The selected products are now assigned to your KOT/BOT Group.
Set Sound Alerts for New Orders
Open the KOT App.
Tap the 3-dot menu (top-right).
Tap Settings > Notification Sounds.
Tap “New Order Notification”.
Select a sound and adjust the volume.
You can also set:
Order Update Sound → choose “Update Notification”
Cancel Order Sound → choose “Cancel Notification”
Change Time Settings
Open the KOT App.
Tap the 3-dot menu > Settings > Time Durations.
Tap “Finished/Cancelled orders dismiss after”.
Enter the number of seconds and tap Save.
You can also set:
When to show Warning Color
When to show Late Color
All times are in seconds.
How to Finish or Close Orders
To Finish the Full Order:
Open the KOT App.
Select the correct KOT Number.
Tap the header section of the order.
A popup will appear with CANCEL and OK buttons.
Tap OK to finish the full order.
To Finish Items One by One:
Open the KOT App.
Select the correct KOT Number.
Tap the item that is ready.
A line will appear across the item name.
Order Colors
🟢 Green – New Order
🟡 Yellow – Processing
🔴 Red – Late Order (based on the time you set)
How to Remove the KOT/BOT Display
If you want to remove or unpair the display:
Open the POS App.
Go to Main Menu > Settings > Printers.
Tap on the connected display.
Tap “DELETE”.
Confirm the deletion.
Troubleshooting – If You Face Issues
If the KOT/BOT Display App is not working properly, try these steps:
Check Wi-Fi Connection
Make sure both the POS App and KOT Display App are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Sometimes, devices may switch to another network — double-check both.
Weak Wi-Fi Signal
A weak signal may cause connection problems.
To check the connection:
To Test the Connection:
Open the POS App.
Go to Main Menu > Settings > Printers.
Tap the connected display.
Tap "Test Connection".
KOT Group Might Be Disabled
If you don’t see any orders, the KOT group may not be active.
To Enable It:
Open the POS App.
Go to Main Menu > Settings > Printers.
Tap the connected display.
Turn ON the toggle for "Printer Groups".
Tap Save.
Still Not Working? Try Restarting
If nothing works:
Remove the existing KOT Display from the POS App.
Restart the POS App.
Restart the KOT/BOT Display App and keep it open.
Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi.
This should solve most connection problems.
