Customize the layout of your Giving Experience (GE)

This is Step 2 of a series: How to Create a Giving Experience 🎉

Layout allows you to customize how your Giving Experience looks and feels. We offer two layout options: Simplified & Standard.


Simplified

Offers your supporters an easy-to-use, simple layout that focuses on conversion.

Standard

Offers an excellent option for story-telling, reinforcing why your supporter should donate with a strong Headline and Description.

  • Note: the Description text will display in a paragraph (line breaks aren't possible). If you need to separate out sentences, consider using Highlight Points instead.

If you need help determining what layout would be best for you, you can preview how your layout will look on Desktop or Mobile even before you go live.


Feature Image

Depending on your chosen layout, the feature image will be incorporated in a few different ways. There is no size requirement for the feature image. Please upload any image you'd like to use, and Givecloud will do the rest! 💪

Simplified

The feature image will sit in the back of your Giving Experience:

Standard

The feature image will display along with your Description text, and when you embed your experience as a button, the feature image will be used to create consistent branding on the page:

Please note the feature image does not display in mobile view when the form is opened via an embed.


Highlight Points

Highlight Points allow nonprofits to visually emphasize key impact areas within the donation experience. Instead of long text descriptions, donors can quickly understand how their contribution makes a difference through a concise, visually engaging format.

Key Features of Highlight Points

  • List up to six key impact areas for each donation.

  • Choose from a curated selection of icons—no design skills needed.

  • Easily integrate into your Givecloud Giving Experience.

  • Available in English, Spanish, and French, making it easy to connect with donors worldwide.

Why It Matters

  • Boosts Donor Confidence – When donors clearly see the impact of their gift, they are more likely to give.

  • Increases Conversion Rates – A simple, engaging experience leads to faster donations.

  • Saves Time – No need for lengthy descriptions or custom graphics—Highlight Points streamline the process.

Custom Links

You can now add custom links—either a single link or a dropdown of up to 10—beneath the description on your Giving Experience and Peer-to-Peer pages, on both desktop and mobile. Whether it’s giving by check, donating stock, or viewing an event schedule, this feature helps guide donors at just the right moment—without interrupting their intent to give.

🔧 How to Enable

  1. Expand the Custom Links section

  2. Enable Custom Links

  3. Select one of the options:

    • Single Link: Add one custom link.

    • Dropdown Menu: Add up to 10 custom links.

  4. Add Your Links
    Label each link clearly (e.g., “Give by Check,” “Crypto Donations,” “Event Schedule”) and paste the corresponding URLs.

  5. Save & Preview
    Your links will now appear beneath the description—on desktop and mobile—ready to guide donors with care.

  • Giving Options: Crypto, Stock, Legacy, Check, or Sponsorship Packages

  • Event Info: Schedules, Maps, Volunteer Forms, or FAQs

  • Support Links: Matching Gifts, Contact Pages, or Donation Policies
