How to Check an Employee's Work Rights

Checking an employee’s work rights allows managers to confirm that staff are legally permitted to work and understand any visa conditions or limitations that apply. Work status information is displayed against each employee record and includes validated work entitlements and visa details where relevant. Reviewing this information supports compliance with employment and migration requirements and helps ensure the business meets its legal obligations. This guide explains how to check an employee’s work rights.

Checking an Employee’s Work Rights

  1. Click on Employees in the column to the left.

  2. Under All Employees, each employee’s citizenship or work requirements are shown in the Work Status column to the right of their name.

  3. Scroll to the relevant employee.

  4. Click on their Work Status button.

  5. A new window displays the employee’s validated work entitlements.

  6. Scroll to view the details.

  7. Review the employee’s visa work conditions and limitations.

  8. Alternatively, preview visa conditions by hovering over the Work Status button.

  9. You can also view visa requirements by clicking Visa Status under Employees.

  10. Select the button under Visa Type.

  11. The employee’s Work Entitlement Check is displayed.
