You need to visit your new state in person to get your new driver's license and register your vehicle.
You do not need to bring your vehicle with you to register it.
Florida: You can register your vehicle without driving it to Florida by verifying your VIN with local law enforcement.
Texas: You can register your vehicle without bringing it to Texas, and no VIN inspection is required. You'll register at the Aransas County Tax Assessor-Collector (Tax Office) — no appointment needed, just arrive during business hours. Aransas County also has no emissions testing requirement, and Texas eliminated the annual safety inspection sticker requirement for non-commercial vehicles in March 2025.
