SavvyNomad offers comprehensive mail handling and scanning services based on the plans selected by customers. This guide outlines the key details of mail reception, scanning, and accessibility to ensure a seamless experience when managing your mail remotely.

Mail Handling Based on Service Plan

Mail handling services vary depending on the chosen service tier:

  1. Basic Domicile Plan: Only essential mail such as IRS notices, state documents, and replacement credit/debit cards can be received at your residential address (see residential mail restrictions here). All of this essential mail can be scanned upon request free of charge. Non-essential mail will be returned to the sender.

  2. Higher-Tier Plans: These plans include a separate mailing address, at which any type of mail item can be accepted. SavvyNomad provides free scanning, shredding, and forwarding (excluding postage).

How to Access and Scan Mail

To check or view scanned copies of your mail:

  1. Navigate to the Mail Tab on your SavvyNomad customer portal.

  2. Uploaded mail is scanned and visible in the portal after the necessary approvals and procedures, such as completing your USPS 1583 form.

Steps to Begin Receiving Mail

To start utilizing mail services with SavvyNomad:

  1. Complete the USPS Form 1583: This is required for authorization and must be approved before mail services can commence.

  2. Allow Setup Time: After form approval, we can start accepting mail items for you right away. That said, you may continue to receive 1583-related emails and updates for up to several weeks as your documents fully process.

Typical Timelines for Mail Delivery

  • Mail sent to your designated residential forwarding address can take up to 10 business days to appear in your portal.
