Can I Use the Automated PDF Feature to Share Other Files?

This guide provides a workaround based on the Automated PDF logic, but it is not a setup from our Order Printer Pro app.

Our app lets you easily add Automated PDF links to your Shopify emails, allowing customers to download PDFs of documents generated within our app.

While our Automated PDF feature focuses on in-app templates, we understand you might have additional PDFs, images, or files you want to share with your customers. Here's our suggestion for including those in your emails.

Step 1: Add the file to your Shopify admin

  1. From your Admin page, go to Contents -> Files

  2. Upload the file you want

  3. Copy the link

Step 2: Add the code in the email notification

  1. From your Admin page, go to Settings -> Notifications

  2. Click the email you want to add the file link to, and click "Edit code"

  3. Locate the section where you want to add the file link and paste the following:

       <p><a href="your_file_url" download>Download Our Tips</a></p>

    NOTE: Make sure to replace your_file_url with your file link generated in step 1 and adjust the Download Your PDF wording based on the type of file you share.

  4. Save the changes.

That's it! Your customers can now click on that link to download the file you want to share.
