Manually adding pre-populated choices to ballot categories

Whether your pre-populated choices are celebrating winners, advertisers, curated editorial picks, they are a great way to reduce normalization and get some contestants on the board.

The easiest way to add pre-populated choices is through our Import tool.

If you need to add one-off pre-populated choices, here is how to do so manually.

Manually Adding Pre-Populated Choices:

  • Navigate to the left-hand side and click on "Ballot Builder" to access your ballot management interface.

  • From the Ballot Builder page, locate and click on the group where you want to add pre-populated choices to a specific category.

  • Once you've selected the appropriate group, all of the categories within the group should appear.

  • Click on the "Edit" button for the desired category.

  • Once the details page for that category has loaded, click the “edit” button to the right

  • Underneath the "Pre-populated Choices" header, click on the option to "Add Choice."

  • Enter the details of the pre-populated choice and click "Save."

  • Repeat the process to add additional pre-populated choices as needed.

Sorting Choices:

  • Optionally, you can sort the pre-populated choices either by the order they were inputted or alphabetically, depending on your preference.

  • Click "Save" to confirm your selections.

By following these simple steps, you can effortlessly add pre-populated choices to your Best of ballot categories. Whether you're managing advertisers, showcasing previous winners, or finalizing your ballot, pre-populated choices offer convenience and efficiency.
