Set up a Family Account for Activity Registration (New web experience)

Set up a Family Account as a guardian, add children to your family and invite additional guardians.

Bound is designed to support the families invested in the youth sports community, as well as the fans there to cheer them on. Before students can register for activities and families can experience Bound's simplicity, a family account must be created.

Setting up a Family Account for the first time

If you don't have a Bound account, the first step is to create one. Start by clicking Join Us on beta.gobound.com.

For more assistance with account creation, please see Log in or create an account.

Once your account is created, it's as easy as:

  1. Find your State:

  2. Find your School:

  3. Go to the Registration tab towards the top of your screen, then click Register under Open Activities Registration:

  4. A message will appear, saying Let's Get Your Family Started.

    • By default your Family Name will be the last name on your account. Change it as you like.

    • Click Next Step.

  5. Enter the information for the primary family account manager:

    • Choose the Relationship to Family, are you the: Mother, Father, or Other.

    • Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth.

    • Enter your Address, including City, State and Zipcode.

    • Enter your Email address and your Phone number.

    • Click Next Step.

  6. Search for your school again, ensuring this is the school you want to register for:

  7. A confirmation will appear, asking you to certify that you are at least 18, are the parent or legal guardian of the student(s) you are registering, and that you've reviewed our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

  8. Click Get Started.

You will be sent to your newly created family dashboard, where you can add a child/student, invite additional guardians, register for activities and more.

Invite another guardian to your Family Account

  1. In your Family Dashboard, click Invite a Guardian:

  2. In the pop-up window, enter the new guardian's info, including the relationship to the family, First and Last Name, Email, Phone and Address. You can also upload a Profile Picture but this is optional.

    • Toggle on International only if this guardian resides outside of the United States.

  3. Review details, then click Next.

  4. Choose the Guardian Role; this sets what the new guardian can and cannot manage:

    • Primary Guardian: Full access - all settings, registrations, payments etc.

    • Co-Guardian: Can register, sign documents, pay fees; cannot manage settings or other users

    • Read-Only: Can view family information only.

    • Custom: Specific view of all available permissions, allowing you to toggle each individually.

  5. Click Next.

  6. An invitation will be sent to the new guardian, inviting them to join your family on Bound. Edit the subject and message body as needed, or just send the invite by clicking Add & Send Invite.

  7. You'll be returned to the home screen, and a pop-up will appear alerting you an invite was sent to the new guardian's email.

Once you've sent the invite, the new guardian will need to accept the invite in their email.

Once the new guardian clicks Join Now in their email, they are automatically directed to your family's page, where they can update their profile and begin managing the family based on the permissions you gave them.

Add a Child to your Family Account

  1. In your Family Dashboard, click Add Your First Child.

  2. Like for guardians, a Profile Picture is optional. Enter your child's First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Graduation Year.

  3. Review, then click Next.

  4. Quick Select allows you to simply select the school you set your family up through. If you wish to add your child to another organization, search for them below Search All Organizations. Select the right one from the dropdown.

  5. Ensure the right organization was selected, then click Next.

  6. At this point, you'll either add your student (if they have a Bound account already) or create a new Student Record.

  7. Select the student's Gender. Toggle International Student if the student resides outside of the United States.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Click Send an invite to my child, and enter their email address.

Similarly to adding a guardian, the child can then join your family via the Join Now link in the invite.

  10. Certify that you are 18 or older, have read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.

  11. Click Add to Family.

Once the child has accepted the invite from their email, you can proceed to register them for activities. For more information on registering, see Registering for Activities.

You can edit Family Settings any time by navigating to the Settings tab in your Family Dashboard.
