AI Knowledge Group Filtering

Written by Jane Lydon

AI Knowledge Group Filtering helps you control which knowledge documents are available to AI Autoscoring for each Scorebuddy Group. When enabled, the AI only retrieves documents that match the group linked to the scorecard, while still allowing shared documents to be made available to everyone.

Use this feature when your Scorebuddy instance supports multiple business units, clients, brands, teams, or workflows that should not share the same AI Knowledge sources during autoscoring.

When to use this feature

  • Use it when different groups need different knowledge bases or document sets.

  • Use it when you want AI Autoscoring to stay aligned to the correct business unit or client context.

A document can also be marked for All Groups so it remains available across your whole instance.

How to turn it on

  1. Go to Admin > AI Configuration.

  2. Scroll to AI Knowledge

  3. Enable the Group Filtering setting.

Once this is turned on, group selection becomes part of the document management flow.

Where you will see it

  • Knowledge Base integration screen: when setting up or managing a Knowledge Base integration, you can assign groups to the synced knowledge content.

  • AI Knowledge screen: you will see group information against documents, including a Groups column for visibility and management.

  • Upload and management flows: when adding or updating knowledge sources, you can assign them to one or more groups, or make them available to All Groups.

How it works

  1. An admin turns on Group Filtering in AI Configuration.

  2. When a user then uploads a document manually, they must select the group(s) that document is associated with.

  3. When a user configures an KB integration, they must select the group(s) those documents are associated with

  4. Then, when AI Autoscoring runs, Scorebuddy checks which group or groups are linked to the scorecard being used.

    1. The AI retrieves only documents that match those groups, plus any documents marked All Groups.
