Navigating Edit Mode in ScorebuddyCX BI

This article outlines how to navigate edit mode.

Edit mode gives Power Users the ability to edit and create visualisations, pages, chapters and dossiers.

Power Users can open edit mode by clicking the pencil icon on the right side of the page.

The navigation tools are divided into three sections:

  • Panel Selector

  • Report Editing Tools

  • Page Tools.

Panel Selector

Use the panel selector on the left side of the page to switch between the panels listed below, and to pin or unpin panels while you work on your dossier.

See below an explanation of each icon found in the Panel Selector.

Contents Panel

Navigate easily between all Chapters and Pages in the current Dossier.

Datasets Panel

Shows attributes and metrics which can be selected for building your visualisation.

Editor Panel

See and edit what metrics and attributes are in the selected visualisation.

Filter Panel

Shows available filters, including Scorecard, Group, Current Supervisor, Evaluator, Team, Supervisor, Staff, Score Tag List.

Format Panel

Formatting options, broken out by 'Visualisation options', 'Text and Form' and 'Title and Container'.

Layers Panel

The layers panel sits on the right side and allows the ability to layer visualisations (ex. send to the back or to the front).

Theme Panel

The theme panel sits on the right side and shows available design themes to choose from.

Hide All Panels

Click on this icon to hide/ unhide all panels.

Report Building Tools

Use the report building tools that sit across the top of the page to build and edit your page and visualisations.

Show Navigation

Click on this icon to bring up a menu of Chapters and Pages.

Visualisation

Create a visualisation, choosing from the various format options.

Filter

Click here to add a dynamic filter to your page and/ or visualisations.

Text

Add a text box to your page.

Image

Add an image to your page.

Shape

Add a shape to your page.

Panel Stack

Create a panel of multiple separated out report visualisations via tabs.

Information Window

Open up a new visualisation or panel selector in a new window.

Page Tools

Undo

Undo an action.

Redo

Redo an action.

Pause Data Retrieval

Edit the dashboard without retrieving data.

Add Data

Add data to your dataset.

Add Chapter

Add a chapter to your dossier.

Add Page

Add a page to your chapter.

Generate Embedding URL

Generate a link to your report.

Convert to Free Form Layout

Move between automatic layout to free form page control.

Natural Language Query

Build a visualisation using natural language queries.

Responsive View Editor

Only available with auto-layout form. Group visualisations that you want to appear side by side in the responsive preview.

Responsive Preview

Each visualisation defaults to fill the width of the entire screen. As above, group visualisations that you want to appear in the same row, using the Responsive View Editor.

Page Size

Adjust the page size.
