After creating a scorecard and adding sections, questions can be added and configured following the steps below.
1. Adding Questions
a. Add Question
Go to the relevant scorecard section.
Type the question title in the text box labelled 'New question text...'
Click +Add Question or hit enter to add the question.
Questions default to the Yes/ No answer scale. Question and Answers can be edited in the edit sidebar.
Note: To keep scorecards tidy, it is recommended to use short phrases to describe your question. Further detail can be added in the question tip.
b. Duplicate Question
This option is useful if creating similar questions with identical weightings and answers.
To duplicate a question, click on the three dots and select Duplicate from the dropdown.
All question details including weightings and tips will be copied. The title will remain the same as the original, with (copy) to differentiate it.
2. Configuring Questions and Answers
a. Setting the Answer Scale
To edit the preset answer scale, follow the steps below:
Click Edit on the right side of the question to open up the edit sidebar.
Go to the 'Answers' tab.
Select from the Preset options:
Question weightings are automatically applied to each preset answer scale.
Note: All preset answer scales are fully editable. Answers can be deleted and answer title and weightings changed.
Click +Add answer to add an answer to the scale.
Choose to apply the answer scale to This section or Entire scorecard.
Tick N/A to allow evaluators to mark a question as not applicable to that interaction and remove the question's weighting from the overall max score.
Click Save.
Note: In ScorebuddyCX, each question is given a Weighting value, which is multiplied by the Answer value of the chosen response to calculate the points for that answer, so more important questions carry more of the score.
The final percentage is points achieved divided by maximum points available, multiplied by 100, so weightings don't need to add up to 100, and answering N/A removes that question's weighting from the overall max score.
b. Adding Causes
Causes can be added at question level:
Go to the 'Causes' tab in the edit sidebar.
Type causes in the text box. If adding multiple, type one per line or separate them with commas or semicolons.
Click Add.
Click Save.
After saving, the number of causes will be shown under the question:
c. Setting Question Rules
After configuring the answer scale and adding causes, set up question rules if required:
Answers that fail the section: Tick the answer choice that should auto-fail the section, typically 'Fail' here. The fail is always recorded, but the section's points are only removed from the total if 'Fail Section Subtracts' is enabled in the scorecard settings.
Answers that fail the whole scorecard: Tick the answer choice(s) that should auto-fail the entire evaluation, usually reserved for critical or compliance questions. The overall score only drops to zero if 'Fail All Results in Zero' is enabled in the scorecard settings.
Answers that require a root cause: Tick the answer choice(s) that require a root cause to be selected. This rule is only available if causes have already been added to the question.
d. Adding a Question Tip
After adding a question and answer scale, add a question tip to provide scoring guidelines to evaluators.
Click +Add question tip to open up the 'Tip' tab in the edit sidebar.
Add the tip in the text box, and format if desired.
The Evaluator Preview below the text box shows how the tip will look to evaluators.
Tick the box beside AI Knowledge if applicable.
Note: AI Knowledge is available for use with AI Autoscoring on certain packages.
Click Save.
Once saved, the tip preview will show beneath the question.
