Importing/ Exporting Scorecard Questions via CSV

Learn how to import and export scorecard questions using the new scorecard builder.

Written by Jane Lydon

The new scorecard builder in ScorebuddyCX lets you export a scorecard's questions to a CSV file and import questions from a CSV file.

This feature can be used to bulk-edit question wording, tips, weightings and answers in a spreadsheet, copy questions between scorecards, or build a large scorecard quickly instead of adding questions one at a time.

Both options can be found in the More menu at the top right of the scorecard builder: Export questions CSV and Import questions CSV.

How to lay out the file

Use one row per question. The header row must use the column names below, in any order and any case, and you can leave out any column you don't need. The easiest place to start is an export, which already has the right headers.

  • Edit questions: keep the Question Number and change only the cells you want. Blank cells leave the existing value unchanged.

  • Add questions: leave the Question Number blank. New questions are added at the end of the scorecard.

  • Build a new scorecard: import another scorecard's export into an empty scorecard. Every row is added as a new question.
