I am getting a '403 Forbidden' page when I try to access Scorebuddy. Why is this?

Scorebuddy features the ability to restrict access via IP Whitelisting. The page your user is seeing indicates that this is enabled in your instance, but that the particular user's IP address has not been added to the whitelist.

How am I able to get my user's IP added to the whitelist?

  • First you will need to obtain the users public IP whitelist (Please note: it is only possible to whitelist Public IP addresses. Your user will have a Public and Private IP address, ensure that they are supplying you with the correct one). An easy way for the user to obtain this is by searching 'what is my IP?' on Google.

  • Next, go to your Scorebuddy Admin tab. Click the 'Security' sub-heading and then select 'IP Whitelisting' from the navigation bar on the left.

  • Click the yellow "Add IP" button and a further pop-up box will appear:

  • Input your user's public IP address in the first field and add a description in the second field. Your description will help you identify which IP address you have whitelisted in case you need to remove this at a later date (i.e. 'John Smith - Home')

  • Click 'Add IP' to submit your request to the Scorebuddy Support Team.

What happens next?

Now the IP Address has been sent to the Scorebuddy support team for review, and they will manually add this IP to the whitelist. Check back to the same page to see if the process has been completed. Be aware that this can take up to 5 working days.
