What is Analytics?
Analytics is an optional module in Scorebuddy which facilitates deep-dive reporting and trend analysis. It is accessed from the "Analytics" tab in the main header of Scorebuddy.
How do I navigate the page and run reports?
There are 39 pre-packaged reports available in the Analytics module. These are broken out into 6 categories based on their focus (Staff, Supervisor etc.). Click the dropdown for any category to see the available reports and select one.
To run your selected report first select your filters. Click the "Filters" button.
Select the date range using one of the defined intervals (This Month, Last Month etc) or set your own date range using Custom Date Range and apply any other filters (one or all Groups, a particular Event Type etc) you would like to apply to the report.
Click "Show Advanced Filters to see all that are available for the selected report. Different filters may be available for different reports, appropriate to their logic.
Click "Apply" once you are done to run your report.
There are a number of different options available to you from the page once your report has been run.
Download XLS - Export the table data to an .XLS filetype for use in a spreadsheet programme.
βExport chart - If the report you have run includes a chart or charts, you can export these to a variety of image formats. Just click the three lines to the left of the chart's title and select your preference
βFilter chart - The chart key (in the above example Below Target and Above Target) can be used to add or remove certain parts of the data from the chart.
βChange trend interval - If the report you have run is trend based, you can change the trending interval used in the table to Week, Month or Year.
βDrilldown - Every report will allow you to drilldown into the data. This will work slightly differently from report to report.
In the above example, clicking on the Employee's name would take us to a page which lists that Employee's results. Clicking a value in the "- Target" column would list all the results which were below target.
Can I build my own reports?
Scorebuddy includes a custom reporting feature within the Analytics module. Click "Advanced" in the categories header to be taken to this page. An article on the use of the Advanced Analytics page can be found here.
