With the Modify appointment option, you can:
Change the template type (e.g., switch to a dental chart or client callback).
Reassign the note to a different patient to prevent duplicate records.
Edit appointment date and time (only if a Provider is assigned).
*Note: Changing the template type will cause you to lose any manual edits. However, you can change between any of the available template types, including built-in templates or templates you have customized yourself. See our "Templates" section for a list of currently available templates and details on each.
How to modify an appointment
After selecting a patient appointment, click the small arrow (▾) next to the template name.
Select Modify appointment from the dropdown menu.
On the modification screen, you'll see a Template drop-down menu.
Click it to browse available options (SOAP, Dental chart, Client Callback etc.).
Select the desired template (e.g., Dental chart) and click Save. Your transcript will be regenerated using the selected template.
Changing the provider
If the note was recorded under the wrong provider:
On the same Modify appointment screen, select the provider in the dropdown
Click Save to reassign the note.
Reassign the note
If the note was recorded under the wrong patient:
On the same Modify appointment screen, select a new patient from the list.
Click Save to reassign the note.
Edit appointment date and/or time
On the same Modify appointment screen, make sure a Provider is assigned
Update Date and/or Time.
Click Save.
