Uploading, downloading, and moving audio files

ScribbleVet offers flexibility in how you capture and manage audio for your notes. You can upload pre-recorded clips or download them.

Uploading audio files

From the web:

  1. Click the small arrow icon (▾) to the right of the template name.

  2. A dropdown menu will appear

  3. Click Upload audio

From mobile:

  1. Long-press the red record button.

  2. Select the audio file you wish to upload.

Downloading audio files

Audio recordings are stored for 90 days. After that, they are automatically deleted. We recommend that you download important audio files to a hard drive or cloud-based storage device for future reference.

From the web:

  1. Click Transcript at the top of the visit will expand to show the audio player and the Recordings button.

  2. Click Recordings to view the available recordings. You can choose to move or download a recording by clicking on the 3-dot menu to the right of each recording.

From mobile



Moving audio files:


Recordings are available to be moved as well if they were accidentally recorded under the wrong patient.

by selecting Move. This will open a window for you to attach the audio file to either an established patient or a new one.

Delete a Recording

To delete a recording, simply follow these steps:

  • Go to the appointment

  • Open the Transcript section.

  • Click the recording icon → three dots (⋮)→ Delete (it may take a few seconds to delete).​


💡 Tip: You can also move audio files to a different appointment in case you recorded under the wrong patient.
