Multiple profiles with the same contact number may cause duplicated communications. Setting Primary Contacts will resolve this.

When multiple Scrypt Profiles have the same contact details:

  1. Communications Inbox may display the one message twice, but shown as if it were received from each profile.

  2. Bulk Communication contact lists may display multiple profiles for the one mobile number (Therefore the one message may be sent multiple times to the one mobile number for each profile).

It is recommended to set a Primary Contact to help determine which Scrypt Profile the SMS or email should be displayed as.

Two Scrypt Profiles with same contact details

Setting a Primary Contact

  1. In a Scrypt Profile, with the Contact and Communication Details, Select Manage Primary Contact

2. If you would like to assign this profile as the primary contact for either SMS and/or email, Select Make SMS/email primary contact.

Note: You can also view other linked profiles that have the same SMS/email details set, clicking on these names will take you to their profile.

The patient's Contact and Communication Details will now show that the profile is selected as the Primary Contact

Removing a Primary Contact

Note: Removing a primary contact may result in duplicated communications. This can be avoided by removing the same contact details in the dispense profile.

1. In a Scrypt Profile, with the Contact and Communication Details, Select Manage Primary Contact

2. If you would like to remove this profile as the primary contact for either SMS and/or email, Select Remove SMS/email primary contact.

Note: You can also view other linked profiles that have the same SMS/email details set, clicking on these names will take you to their profile.

This patient will now have been removed as the primary contact.
