Before you start

Complete a MedsCheck

1. Find the patient

In Scrypt HQ, search for the patient's name in the search bar and select their profile. Open the New Service side blade on the right of the screen.

2. Select the type of MedsCheck

Choose the relevant service, for example Regular MedsCheck or Diabetes MedsCheck.

3. Confirm patient details

Confirm the displayed details, then select Yes for "Reviewed by pharmacist?".

4. Consent and eligibility

If the patient has provided consent, select Yes. Select how consent was given, either Written or Verbal. To upload a saved consent form, select Browse, choose the file from your computer, then select Upload Files.

5. Pharmacy information

From the dropdown menu, select the name of the pharmacist completing the service.

If you do not see your name, follow the add pharmacist into Scrypt HQ procedure. This needs to be done in each pharmacy you service.

6. Medication profile

Enter any known allergies and adverse drug reactions, and the patient's primary doctor (GP) if known. Go through each displayed medication and complete it as needed. If the patient is not taking a medication, untick the box next to that ceased medication. To add more detail to a medication, select the pencil.

Inside the medication details, add any additional information as required, then save the medication.

7. Action plan

If no actions are required, select No Action(s) Taken and go to the next step. If there are issues to add to the action plan, select Add Issue(s) and fill out the details as required.

8. Submit

At the PPA submission acknowledgment, select Submit.

9. Patient's report (meds list)

You can print the meds list, or send it to the patient by SMS or email by selecting Send Meds List.

10. Create a CRM note

Select a follow-up date and add any information needed for the follow-up. The dates default to a 12-month reminder, in line with when the patient may be due for their next MedsCheck service.

You have successfully completed a MedsCheck service.
