Sending your Pharmacy Contact Card

How to get your pharmacy details saved into your customers phone

What is a Contact Card?

A Contact Card (or a Contact virtual Card) enables you to send contact information in a format that can be easily read by other programs (i.e. your customers mobile phone).

Including your Pharmacy's Contact card in messages allows the user to save your pharmacy's contact details into their phone automatically, rather than manually entering in each field of information which can be a barrier to saving the information at all! We dont want that and neither do you.


How do I set the Contact Card up?

Good news! Scrypt automatically takes your pharmacy information that is saved in the settings page. Make sure your details are all correct and press save.

Here is a list of the information that will be contained in the Contact Card:

  • Pharmacy Name

  • Address

  • Phone Number

  • Fax

  • Email

  • Website

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • Pharmacy Logo

NOTE: To ensure the contact card will be sent correctly to the customer, the Pharmacy Name must only contain alphanumeric characters and the following accepted symbols & - , '

How do I send the Contact Card to my customers?

Sending the Contact Card to your customer works by creating a message template and including the Merge tag <<ContactVCard>> in your message template.


Here is an example of a message template you could create:

Hi <<FirstName>>,

Thanks for visiting <<PharmacyName>> today. I have included our contact details as a contact card in the link below. Please save us to your address book for future reference. If you need any future medication or health advice you can simply reply to this SMS number or call the store on <<PharmacyPhone>>.

<<ContactVCard>>

Hope to see you again soon,
Your Pharmacist @ <<PharmacyName>>

Helpful Tips!

Here are 3 helpful tips on how to make best use of your new Contact Card:

✔ Send this message to your newly visiting customers via Scrypt Notify's New customer welcome message.

You can update this template by going to:
Communications > Settings > Custom messages tab > default messages > Edit "New Customer Welcome Message"

✔ Send this to many new customers via Advanced Search + Bulk Communications.

Advanced Search > Dispense Search - Drop down the Engagement option and select the desired date range for "First visit from/to"

Bulk Communications - use your Contact Card template to send the message to all your customers who showed up in the Advanced Search results

✔ Send this message to customers "when required" by selecting your Contact Card message temaplate when writing a message to your customer.
