Vendors are always encouraged to attach evidence or leave notes for their assessment responses; however, administrators can now pre-emptively set their own requirements. Vendors completing the assessment will not be able to submit the assessment without meeting all requirements.

Setting requirements can greatly reduce the time administrators spend going back and forth with the vendor collecting this information.

More importantly, judiciously set requirements can greatly improve the accuracy of the assessment responses by forcing the vendor to provide evidence for their claims.

We recommend setting 10-15 new requirements every year. Over time, the number of statements being spot-checked will increase to cover more and more of the assessment. This gradual approach reduces the burden on the vendor while also checking the box for due diligence.

Step-by-Step

  1. Navigate to Assessment Designer in the left navigation menu.

  2. Click > copy button next to the default template for either the beginner, medium, or high assessment.

A new custom template will be created based on the template you chose.

  3. On the next screen, click > edit button next to the standard name and rename the assessment template.

  4. Click > edit icon next to the description field if you would like to add a description for what this template is for. This will display in the Assessment Designer screen next to the custom template you have created.

  5. Click on any section to navigate into the section view.

  6. Click > gear icon next to the statement that will have a requirement.

A window will open allowing you to enable requirements for attachments and/or notes.

  7. Enable the desired requirement(s). A dropdown will appear with the terms of the requirement.

  8. Select the desired term for each enabled requirement.

All response types - If the vendor responds, they will need to attach a file and/or note (depending on the selection)
True - If the vendor responds True, they will need to attach a file and/or note (depending on the selection)
False - If the vendor responds False, they will need to attach a file and/or note (depending on the selection)
N/A - If the vendor responds N/A, they will need to attach a file and/or note (depending on the selection)

  9. Work through the assessment template, setting requirements.

The finished template can be applied to vendor assessments in the Confirm Classification window.

PLEASE NOTE: You can one-off adjust or set requirements while the assessment is open.
